RTI Productions and Imagina US reach new Co-Development and Co-Production Agreement

RTI and Imagina US have announced the signing of an agreement for co-development and co-production of fiction formats for customers of OTT platforms and Cable in the US and Latin America, and for all platforms in Europe including Free TV.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will develop high quality fiction products in order to open space for new customers. The agreement seeks to leverage the extensive infrastructure of production that the two companies have in Colombia and the United States respectively.

"This new agreement is key to our strategy of offering premium content demanded by the Latin American market," says Ana Bond, VP of Business Development and Legal Affairs, from the offices of RTI Miami.

"This partnership is a natural fit for Imagina US who seek to establish themselves as a leading content company, especially in fiction, and what better way to do it than with RTI since we have a lot of synergy," said Juan Pablo Santos, SVP of Content and New Business Imagina US.

To maximize the success of the partnership, the two companies have entered into an agreement with Pomodoro Stories, led by Brendan Fitzgerald, who is in charge of getting clients, developing the business structure of the co-production, and seeking financing.

Patricio Wills, president of RTI, remarked: "This agreement is an ideal complement to our portfolio of productions prepared primarily for Televisa".
